The APC Power Distribution Unit allows system administrators to monitor and manage server power distribution more efficiently. Through the APC PDU's alert system, administrators can take action to prevent power overload before major incidents occur. Using the remote Web Interface, the Metered model allows administrators to monitor the power load of each outlet, while the Switched Model enables independent operations such as shutting down or delaying specific outlets to prevent power overload.
The APC Automatic Transfer Switch provides a backup solution for single-cable equipment. The APC ATS can connect to dual power sources, and if the primary power source is unavailable, it switches to the secondary power source without interrupting the load. The APC ATS also has a built-in Web Interface for remote management by administrators.
